Rob Bertsche speaks at the New England Society of Professional Journalist's Spring Conference on the topic of censorship on college campuses April 26, 2008Prince Lobel media lawyer Rob Bertsche, a member of the advisory board of the New England Society of Professional Journalists (SPJ), will be speaking on the topic of censorship on college campuses at the SPJ's Spring Conference in Portland, Maine, on Saturday, April 26, 2008. He will be joined by renowned communications professor Roy Gutterman of the Newhouse School of Communications at Syracuse University, as well as by editors of the campus newspaper at Montclair (N.J.) State University, site of a recent skirmish over student press rights. The conference begins Friday, April 25, at the University of Southern Maine, and will also feature an all-day program on handling "Disasters on Deadline," as well as briefer panels on such matters as online journalism, "backpack journalism," and libel case studies.
