William A. Worth is Chair of the Litigation Practice Group at Prince, Lobel, Glovsky & Tye. With more than 20 years of litigation experience, he provides exceptional service to businesses and individuals in litigation, arbitration, and mediation.
Bill joined the firm in 1986, and became a partner in 1991. Bill represents corporations and individuals in a broad range of complex business matters in state and federal courts, where he has tried civil rights cases, commercial contract cases, business tort cases, personal injury cases, Uniform Commercial Code disputes and environmental contamination cases. He has broad experience in zoning appeals and land use litigation and frequently represents telecommunications companies seeking relief from adverse zoning decisions. He has obtained injunctive relief on behalf of both employers and employees in cases arising from disputed non-competition agreements. He has argued successfully before the Massachusetts Supreme Court on Uniform Commercial Code matters and before the Massachusetts Appeals Court on environmental contamination cases.
Bill performs defense work on behalf of insurance companies and self-insured entities in wrongful death and catastrophic injury cases. In addition to his defense work, he often represents plaintiffs in complex personal injury matters. He has achieved favorable results for his clients in arbitration and mediation, both in the business litigation and personal injury context.
Bill provides a hands-on and practical approach to each of his client matters. As lead counsel, he remains involved in every aspect of his cases and works closely with his clients to achieve a cost-efficient result.
Bill is a frequent speaker on complex litigation matters. He recently presented to the New England Corporate Counsel Association on recent developments in electronic discovery. He serves as the firm’s Hiring Partner, and frequently participates in firm-sponsored seminars on business litigation issues.
