Daniel S. Tarlow is a partner at Prince, Lobel, Glovsky & Tye, with more than 16 years of experience in the field of employment law and litigation. Co-author of the book, Covenants Not to Compete in Massachusetts, he has represented businesses of all sizes in a wide range of matters, from discrimination and harassment complaints to claims involving misuse of trade secrets, privacy rights actions, and wrongful termination litigation.

His expertise extends to such critical areas as defamation claims, whistle-blower suits, commercial contract and real estate disputes, intellectual property cases, and securities fraud litigation. An aggressive and experienced litigator, Dan also advises employers on ways to avoid liability and costly litigation. While skillfully litigating claims when necessary, he is committed to exploring ways to achieve favorable results through the means of Alternative Dispute Resolution. Dan appears regularly before the state and federal courts and the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.

In addition to his trial practice, Dan has a wide range of appellate experience before the Massachusetts Court of Appeals and the United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.

Dan's clients include Fortune 100 companies, public agencies, small businesses, and individuals. He deftly scales solutions to fit the needs of his clients.

Always an advocate, Dan gets a thrill out of developing a case winning strategy and playing to win in a battle of wits.

Dan teaches continuing legal education courses on such topics as trial evidence and non-compete agreements. His published articles include “The Duty to Protect Employees From Violent Acts,” and “Employment Law: Employers Should Be Prepared to Comply with Personnel Manuals.”
